Catalytic Innovations began with the discovery of a new technology to extract and purify zinc from secondary materials to produce high purity micronutrient fertilizers. Typical zinc secondaries include discarded zinc paste from the manufacture of alkaline batteries, spent zinc shot blast, galvanizer drosses, crude zinc oxides recovered from steel melting operations, and plasma over-sprays from zinc coating processes.
This same technology was then adapted to extract and separate the zinc and manganese from alkaline batteries into their high purity forms. The ability to divert thousands of tons of spent alkaline batteries from landfills vastly improves the sustainability of this battery type. The pure zinc and manganese recovered from this process can be used back into the creation of new batteries or as a replacement for wherever virgin zinc or manganese is required. Other industrial byproducts, such as ammonium chloride, sulfuric acid, and phosphoric acid, are also reclaimed.
Our previous achievements in developing new recycling technologies resulted in the formation of Catalytic Innovations. Our mission was, and still is, to produce the highest purity micronutrient fertilizers on the market.

Bulk Micronutrient Manufacturing
We produce ammoniated zinc chloride solutions, available in 10, 15, or 20 percent zinc by weight. We also produce EDTA chelated micronutrients, including Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, and Calcium.
Our liquid starter fertilzers combine the N-P-K macro inputs along with the necessary micros such as zinc, iron, manganese, and copper to correct your soil's and plant's deficiencies. These starter fertilizers are low salt index and 100% chelated to resist soil tie-up and achieve maximum plant availability.
